I am sorry to hear that an advocate is involved in the brutal killing of Shazia Masih. It is sad to see lawyers siding with the man accused of this barbaric act. Our lawyers made a tremendous effort in connection with the recent restoration of the judiciary and the constitution. Although advocate Naeem has not been found guilty as yet, he has still been charged with the offence and so the lawyers siding with him seems awkward to say the least. He should face trial and, if found innocent, then he will be acquitted or, on the other hand, if the prosecution has proved their case beyond reasonable doubt then he will be convicted. No one is above the law. Demonstrating in favour of the accused seems to be a ploy to pressurise the court, something not mandated by the law and morality.
