At last people like Hillary Clinton, James Jones, and Mc Crystal who, demand Pakistan to do more, but on the other hand, the same people are now stressing the need to find out a “political settlement” of the “afghan issue”, after 8 years of war and anarchy in that country. This is said, none other but by the same person who demanded for a troops surge in Afghanistan to continue and intensify military operation inside the war torn country. United Nations at the behest of United States have removed the names of a few Taliban from the ‘Terrorist’ most wanted list, including Wakil Ahmad Mutawakkal, the former afghan Foreign minister of the ousted Taliban government. Among others are Muhammad Musa Hotik, Abdul Hakim Shamsus Sifa Amin Zai Faiz Muhammad Faizan, all of them have been holding Taliban government offices during their rule over Afghanistan. Unfortunately, they defected from Taliban, and ended up in reconciliation with Karzai government, after the ouster of Taliban government and invasion of the American/NATO occupation troops in Afghanistan. Since these people have no relationship with afghan Taliban who are currently engaged in resistance movement against foreign troops, it is understandable that how would they help Americans to create a bridge for negotiation with Taliban for the purpose of reconciliation. It seems that the Americans have tried to negotiate with Mullah Umer covertly, failing witch they resorted to split them into ‘Good Taliban and bad Taliban, for the sole purpose of forging a division and thus ignite conflict among would be Taliban factions, an old weapon of the Neo colonial powers like the Unites states. Now by ‘awarding” amnesty to some former Taliban figures they want to conceal their military defeat through the smoke screen of so called reconciliative impressionism. Actually, Americans have a bewildered, urge to bring Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, in the broader picture of the afghan impasse, to use them as a bait for the afghan Taliban, to initiate indirect negotiation with them, for earning a constant US /Indian role in Afghanistan. “But, together, the two countries, i.e. Pakistan and Saudi Arabia must be on guard, because, the Americans what they couldn’t achieve in the battle field are trying to achieve “diplomatically”, a manifest confession of deep sense of defeat with propped up urge to win a constant role in the afghan matters together with American and Indian existence on the afghan canvas. This situation has worried Indians too, who thought, Americans soon would be able to defeat Taliban militarily by crushing their resistance and erasing their will power to fight back Indian-American-Israeli nexus. The American and NATO officials have confessed it now that Taliban are controlling more than 80% of the afghan soil, and Americans have shrunk to parts of Kabul together with their puppets government. The Taliban have gained so much confidence through their consecutive and repeated victories that they, it is them to select their military targets and offensive military strategy against the occupation troops. Just one example is multiple attacks in Kabul during the visit of Indian DGMI Gen.Lmaba, when he was in Kabul to carve out a new strategy with his American / northern alliance brethren in Kabul. The Taliban intelligence has permeated through the ranks of Afghan national army and government, so much so that, they have access to all information and movements of the occupation troops and Afghans government tactics. Amnesty given to a few former Taliban officials who are now sitting in the lap of puppet government is a ready to fail, another attempt to divide Taliban, otherwise, the person whom should Americans must have contacted would be Mullah Umer directly. The amnesty was announced by the UN officials, instead of Americans, in their bid to save the “egoism” of the defeated American troops in the hands of the mujahideen.
On the other hand, Americans seek Pak-Saudi help to negotiate with Taliban but is not ready to broaden Pakistan’s role to bring stability, and peace in its fraternal neighbour. Like for example, Pakistan should be invited to provide training facilities to afghan national army and police, play its role in rebuilding Afghanistan, its infrastructure and institutions etc. This situation will not only enhance the concept of mutual confidence but also rather, help the two brotherly countries to find solutions to each other ‘s problems. There are elements in Afghan government who have felt this reality and that is one reason the two foreign ministers of Pakistan and Afghanistan have vowed, not to allow terrorist use their respective territories against each other. If Pakistan wins a broader role in rebuilding Afghanistan, the afghan government will eliminate Indian terrorist breeding infrastructure inside Afghanistan, and it will no longer remain a hub of terrorist activities inside Pakistan. Americans on the other hand want more Indian role in Afghanistan, so to give India a chance to consolidate its hagemonious designs in the region. This is a situation which Pakistan, at this point should never accept, because never want true democracy, instead a puppet government, firmed up by the Indian military and intelligence presence so to plunge the region in total chaos, to brew its interests guarded by Indians. This is one reason the US secretary of defense Robert Gates is uttering Indian lexicon to threaten Pakistan. When he pleads India, accusing Pakistan of Mumbai attacks and says if such attacks recur Pakistan will be responsible and India will be justified to attack Pakistan. Robert Gates is the same person who was kicked out from Honduras because of his subversive activities, destined against the security of that country, and Gates is the person who, on several occasion expressed his deep desire to disarm Pakistan of its nuclear capabilities. In fact he is working on a biblical agenda, harbored by the missionary Zionist activists. It is very mysterious and lies beyond comprehension that once standing shoulder to shoulder in the enemy lines, speaking the enemy language, how Americans boast of their friendship with Pakistan and cane they be trusted? Afghan Taliban is united on a single point agenda, the withdrawal of all occupation troops out of Afghanistan. Why will a victor go for negotiation, especially if the vanquished is begging for it? No Political settlement can be opted to replace the motives of a freedom struggle and probably American have realized it and actually London’s Waterloo conference was part of their exit plan from Afghanistan. As, described by Mullah Abdus Salam Zaeef, the former Taliban ambassador to Pakistan, that the real leadership will not respond to the ploy of Negotiations with Americans and it is Americans who need negotiations, because they have been defeated. However, if they want to withdraw, they can talk to Taliban‘s top leadership, to provide them with safe exit, he added. The solution of afghan issue should be founded on the principle of immediate neighbour hood, and only Pakistan, Iran and China should collaborate to find a regional solution, not India. The best option for Americans will be to provide a broader role for Pakistan to play in Afghanistan, because Pakistan has religious, cultural, and historical relations with the people of Afghanistan based on folkloric traditions and common herritage. Moreover Pakistan remained involved in afghan matters soviet occupation and has traditional links with afghan tribal elders and former mujahideen commanders like Hikmatyar, Ustad Sayyaf, Haqqani and others. Even Taliban remained very good allies of Pakistan, and it is Pakistan not India who can rebuild Afghanistan and maintain peace there. But for this purpose Americans have to do away with their sham and mystified clamor of alqaeda and terrorism, because alqaeda was bred in Brooklyn (USA) and current chaos is American product that still wants to keep Taliban and real afghan leaders away from the corridors of power. |
