On November 14, a number of Pakistani prisoners released by India came back to their homeland. Many tragic scenes were witnessed on the occasion. Most of them were released after 15 to 20 years of detention on minor charges. Generally minimum sentence is given for committing these minor crimes, but they had to suffer severe torture and punishment in India because they were Pakistanis.
By their appearance it was not difficult to guess their physical and mental state whereas our government has provided an Indian spy currently in a Pakistani jail with a mushaqati (servant). It should be mentioned that he has been held guilty by the Supreme Court of Pakistan for his involvement in the killing of at least 14 innocent Pakistanis. It seems that given our apathy towards our nationals imprisoned in Indian jails, India will continue to do injustice with Pakistanis in its jails.
