The government and the armed forces of Pakistan are spending millions of dollars every month on military operations in the tribal areas and Swat to curb militancy. These military operations are destroying our roads and schools as well as houses of innocent civilians. Had we spent half of this amount on education, health and development of infrastructure, I think we would have curbed militancy by now.
