People who have interest in and knowledge of cricket rightly consider test cricket as the real and original form of the game. Only in test cricket one can judge the real talent of a player. It is unfortunate that we have officials in PCB who have little knowledge about the game.
Our national cricket team played its last test match on December 8-12, 2007, against India (in India) and surprisingly it will play the next test match on December 2008 again in India. Is it fair? I know that the Australians have refused to visit Pakistan due to security reasons. But isn’t it strange that Dr Nasim Ashraf could arrange only three test matches in the whole year with Australia, which were eventually cancelled, thanks to his poor leadership qualities?
