I appreciate the government’s decision to regularise all contractual employees in government offices from grade one to 15. The announcement has come as a pleasant surprise for the poor contractual employees’ families because it will at least ensure security of their jobs. The decision proves that the new government in true sense represents people’s aspirations.
There are also highly qualified and talented people working in grade 16 and above on contractual basis in different government departments. For example, qualified and skilled people have been working in Nadra as assistant managers and system engineers on contractual basis for more than five years. It is requested that the government should regularise employees working in higher grades as well as they too want job security.
