Elections are generally associated with rigging, violence and abductions. In rural areas, politicians with a feudal background always rig the polls. However, politicians in urban areas have also started to interfere in the polling process recently. Participation in the polling process is directly related to peace during the election.
It is sad that the common man becomes the ultimate victim of poll-related violence. Security measures are taken to protect the elite only. I appeal to the political parties` heads and their workers to reject the politics of violence.
