With the emergence of so many telecom companies all over the country, installation of cellular companies’ towers has been done in countless areas, even residential ones. The waves such installations generate may or may not be harmful, but what about the strident noise which the generators make?
It’s downright frustrating for the people who live here in Railways Officers’ Scheme-II (Chaklala), particularly those living in the houses around the recently installed tower of a well known cellular company. We have to bear the shrill-sounding generator just behind our house 24 hours a day. It’s callous to put people through this misery. My mother is a migraine patient, and my father comes home tired from work at night but can’t sleep because of the noise. Our studies too have greatly suffered. I believe this is against both ethics and law. How could the relevant authorities ignore this?
