This refers to the recent survey that said the popularity of Osama bin Laden and the Taliban have decreased sharply after the assassination of PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto. It also reported that the PPP was the most popular party of the country. It is a fact that the majority of Pakistanis are liberal and moderate and support the ideas of the PPP, but sadly the conservative establishment and the military dictators always hatched conspiracies against it.
The US should support and rely on the secular and progressive political parties to eliminate religious extremism from the region, instead of supporting an authoritative individual.
