Blocking roads and setting public property on fire, as happened after the assassination of Benazir Bhutto, is not the way to express sorrow. We must realise the fact that we are furthering enemy’s designs and serving as instruments of destruction for our own beloved homeland. It is high time we understand that by behaving like savages, we are giving opportunities to the foreign media and the Western world to comment that Pakistanis are too immature to safeguard our nuclear assets. We should realise the fact that in behaving in this manner we are aiding those who are destabilising Pakistan. We don’t need to go too far to look for examples. The destruction in Afghanistan and Iraq are right before our eyes and are something to learn from. If Pakistanis want to remain a free nation they should distinguish themselves by demonstrating “unity, faith and discipline”. This is the only way to survive the anti-state forces, which are destroying our country through suicide attacks. Let us not burn our home with our own hands.
