It’s a tradition to name parks, institutions and roads after great personalities following their death. However, I don’t understand the logic behind naming plazas and dispensaries after living personalities. One such example is the naming of a reconstructed dispensary at Peshawar University after former NWFP governor Ali Muhammad Jan Aurakzai. No doubt many people hold the former governor in high esteem for his meritorious services to the province, but I think naming places after him in his lifetime is a bit odd.
