The Islamabad traffic police have done a commendable job by streamlining the traffic in Islamabad. This proves that sincere efforts by the traffic police can be effective in controlling traffic.

In further improving the traffic situation in Islamabad, I would like to draw the attention of the authorities towards unlawful parking of vehicles on footpaths. Every year CDA spends millions of rupees on the construction and maintenance of these footpaths but the pedestrians cannot use them as car dealers use them to park their cars. Islamabad Police should extend its authority to vacating the parking areas as well.
