It is astonishing that our political parties are more interested in taking care of Western interests instead of safeguarding national interests. For instance, the energy issue is not a part of their manifestos.

The construction of Kalabagh dam is truly important because it will double our energy production while decreasing its price drastically.

I request leaders of all the political parties to include this in their election manifestos and make the forthcoming general polls a referendum to solve this grave issue.
As Pakistanis, we must understand the severity of the energy crises and the consequences of not paying heed to it.
