PTF hires Birbal for tennis coaching

Pakistan, a country having rich natural talent in every sports game but every player need to improve their skills for bring some good result and got medals for the country. This is not possible if they didn’t get good training and coaching under the supervision of good instructor and coach.
Now the coaching department at gross root level becomes very important because time to time technology in every sports game had changed and young players need good coaches to improve their skills and talent. Pakistan population comprises of the youth and all need some good sports games especially in remote and conflict zones.
To improve the tennis standard in the country, Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) led by Syed Kaleem Imam taking some positive steps for the promotion and the development of the game of tennis. Pakistan could not make a mark in any tennis singles event though Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, the country’s top player, continued to shine in the doubles game.
Pakistan is currently ranked 57th in Davis Cup, the premier international team event in men’s tennis and the positive steps like hire coaches and trainers should be taken to improve the tennis standard.
Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) hired a renewed coach Birbal Wadhera from the archrival country India would improve play and ease political tensions. Birbal will groom top Pakistani players as well as some juniors including under-14, under-16 and under-19 age groups and also two Pakistani coaches.
Under the umbrella of PTF, the training camp is in full swing for the young players as well as the Pakistani coaches to advance their skills by Indian coach Birbal Wadhera at the PTF Tennis Complex Islamabad. Young boys and girls take part in the training and coaching camp which held under two sessions.
Talking to this scribe Indian tennis coach Birbal Wadhera said that he his very happy to come here to train young blood and wear the Pakistan color shirt.
Birbal said that he is feeling no security threat or concern after the Osama Bin ladan incident just far from the federal capital and I had come here for the love and promotion of the sport but if I died in Pakistan then I will die for the game.
He said that before coming to Pakistan many of my friends and supporters advised me to not travel to Pakistan because of the current security situation at here but refused all the concern and decided to come Pakistan for tennis. “I came here for the love and promotion of my game tennis,” the coach added.
Birbal said that he was here to train young and emerging Pakistan players besides extending professional training to four coaches. He said that during the camp we will focus the physical fitness and techniques of the participants.
On the other hand Senior vice-president of PTF, Irshad Bhatti said that the previous PTF management could not cash in on the opportunity of winning a spot at the Olympic Games despite having the talent and All the players needed was continued exposure at the international level.
Asked about garnering young talent, he asserted: “Our first focus is to bring inactive PTF units back in business and in case few of them fail to fulfil their commitments we will cancel there council membership and open registration for new ones.”
Regarding funds generation and managing administrative mechanism of the federation in a more professional manner, Bhatti said, “PTF has planned a comprehensive marketing and media strategy for ensuring smooth financial working of the federation besides hiring officials to meet several national commitments.”
Talking about the choice to hire Indian coach he said that we want to promote and improve the tennis in the country and we also want some good relations with India. “After cricket and hockey diplomacy now there are bright chance to start the tennis diplomacy between archrivals India and Pakistan’’, he claimed.
“Young tennis players including boys and girls also have shown their concentration in the camp and their faces showed delight for being the part of the process,” Bhatti said adding that we will personally monitor the entire process and ensure everything going according to plan.
