Boxing: Khan still wants to face Peterson
June 29, 2012
Amir Khan is willing to face Lamont Peterson again if the American passes a drugs test.
Khan lost his WBA and IBF light-welterweight titles to Peterson last December in a controversial points defeat and a rematch was axed when the new champion tested positive for synthetic testosterone.
The Bolton fighter will instead battle WBC champion Danny Garcia on July 14, but he has not ruled out another meeting with Peterson in the future.
"I would love to because at the end of the day it was a great fight, a great fight for the fans," Khan told.
