The PTI chief promised to provide substantial development funds for Balochistan without any interruption, ensuring a balanced development of the province. The process would continue till Balochistan is brought on a par with other provinces, he said. “Development funds will not be handed over to MNAs or MPAs. They will not be granted any development funds. We will spend it directly on the welfare of the people of Balochistan,” he added. If the money received under the NFC Award had been spent on the people of Balochistan, the ground situation would have been totally different, he said. Khan said he would bring justice to the entire country, adding that his plans would not be confined to Balochistan only. He said all the palaces built by the corrupt rulers would be converted into hospitals and educational institutions.
Khan said he was the first to raise voice against extra-judicial arrests and murders in custody as he believed that it would create hatred and not serve any purpose. He said if PTI was given the opportunity, it would end the extra-judicial arrests and killings at once and the law of the land would be held supreme. The PTI leader invited the estranged Baloch leaders in self-exile to return to Pakistan and hold a meaningful dialogue to resolve the pressing issues of Balochistan. He said he would fulfill all the promises he was making before the public gathering.
However, the progressive circles view Imran’s tsunami in a different light. According to them a new political gimmick is being played in the already bleeding province.
Imran Khan's launching is being regarded as another ploy of the establishment to wrap up the political system. In the last couple of months Imran Khan has been projected by the media as the messiah and saviour of the poor people of this country. Corruption undoubtedly has become a cancer in our society. The truth of the matter is that just talks of corruption tantamount to breaking the rotten eggs but no one is talking about the chicken which is laying the rotten eggs, which in our society is the economic system. This system is being run by landlords, feudals and army generals.
When Imran Khan launched his political career 15 years back he had told a gathering that he would change the judicial system of the country and it would be made on the lines of the UK. But due to his political immaturity Imran Khan failed to realise that it was due to the British system that millions of hard working people like in this country were made slaves through newly settlers system, which is a simmering black chapter of the history.
Imran Khan’s Tehrik Insaf has failed to give a clear and revolutionary economic program. He has the thinking of doctorial agencies of IMF, World Bank and WTO, which are eating away into our money. The majority of people who have become part of Imran’s tsunami belong to such rich families who have obtained their wealth and luxuries by making humans their slaves and they do not regard a human being more than an insect. A party which has come forward with the slogan “ change” is devoid of basic philosophy of change.
