One must come clean first and then blame others, otherwise one has no moral grounds to accuse others. It is a fault in our polity that we keep on blaming and taunting others, claiming to be patriot and loyal to Pakistan, but reality is quite the contrary. Same is the case with Chaudhry Nisar; tall claims of his allegiance to Pakistan and people, and also his party, prove wrong because his family is enjoying the American nationality.
These views were expressed by Central leader of PML-Q and former federal minister Ghulam Sarwar Khan in an interview with weekly Pulse. Khan also called for convening a joint session of Parliament to expose conspiracies aimed at dismembering Pakistan.

Challenging Opposition Leader in National Assembly, Chaudhry Nisar, for open debate, Khan said Nisar should tell the nation about his source of income. Since his family holds American nationality, so he could not be patriotic, he maintained.

A commission should be formed to assess and investigate allegations leveled by former Sindh home minister Zulfiqar Ali Mirza by an independent, impartial and autonomous commission, Sarwar Khan said.

Media had made revelations about Chaudhry Nisar’s dubious political role and hypocritical behavior, while in latest disclosures, Wikileaks had disclosed that the PML-N leader’s wife and child had American nationality, while in order to keep his political clout in dark, Ch Nisar had passports from American embassy in London.

US Ambassador dispatched a circular to Washington about Chaudhry Nisar on 19 September 2008, in which he disclosed that in a recent meeting, Chaudhry Nisar had pledged his full support for American policies in Pakistan. The circular further revealed that plans were afoot to appoint Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan as opposition leader or even PM, in case of illegibility of Mian Nawaz Sharif.

Chaudhry Nisar was released by former President Musharraf on special pleas of Nisar’s mother, while Nisar broke all pledges after his release, embarking on stormy tirade against Musharraf, Sarwar Khan said.

The political history of Pakistan witnessed that whenever the country faced critical time, Chaudhry Nisar ‘fled’ abroad and made pretexts of sickness; he even conspired to keep Makhdoom Javed Hashmi in 3-year imprisonment, besides resisting a separate province for Hazara, tarnishing PML-N’s image, Sarwar Khan added.

Responding to a query, Khan said Chaudhry Nisar should resign from Chairmanship of PAC and even leave politics. “A man who is not sincere with his party, cannot be sincere with the nation”, he said.

Whole nation is depressed over deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi; if right path is not be adopted after Supreme Court’s decision, then the situation would become tougher. All political parties should evolve a joint strategy to maintain law and order situation in the metropolis, the PML-Q leader said.

Politicizing Dengue outbreak is shameful for democratic government. Unbiased inquiry of Zulfiqar Mirza’s allegations is essential. Neglecting the efforts of Pakistan for peace in the region is a big mistake of international community. India is responsible for all terrorism activities in the country,” he added.

NA-121 Lahore has been in the grip of the PML-N since 1985, but evolving ground realties in the constituency, including the surfacing of the PTI as a new political force and the re-entry of the Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) into electoral politics, ensures a tough electoral contest on May 11. In the past three elections, the PML-N and the JI coalition has won this seat. But in the upcoming polls, the ri
On May 19, the residents of NA-250, PS-112 and PS-113 constituencies of Karachi polled their votes afresh in 43 out of 180 polling stations in a relatively peaceful environment ensured by the army. The Election Commission of Pakistan [ECP] postponed polling on May 11 in 43 polling stations of NA-250, PS-112 and PS-113 constituencies due to widespread complaints of rigging and irregularities and
Polling in Balochistan was not as violent as expected – at least on the polling day itself. Though a dozen of people died in attacks of various kinds but things could so easily have been worse in the most troubled of our provinces. Certainly the run-up to the elections had not been encouraging at all, with bomb blasts, targeted killings and other forms of death and terror striking frequently a
The upcoming KP government will be facing over Rs20 billion deficit in the next financial budget, making it almighty difficult for it to run the financial matters of the province because since the caretakers took over at the centre they province was paid less than Rs15 billion from the divisible pool. Similarly, so far the provincial government has not been paid its Rs6 billion share in the net
