22 Shia Pilgrims Shot Dead in Iraq

In an unfortunate incident unknown assailants shot dead 22 Shia pilgrims in a remote desert area in western Iraq. According to the details a bus which was carrying Shia pilgrims was stopped at so called security check point by the assailants. They ordered all the women to get down the bus. Once the women were out of the bus they killed all the male members with their automatic weapons.
The gunmen after killing the inmates of the bus then drove the bus for a few kilometers in the desert. This area is a Sunni dominated area which falls in the Anbar province. The site of the incident is about 300 km from Baghdad.
Another version of the story is that they killed the passengers after driving the bus to the remote desert. Once in the desert they ordered the men to get down from the bus, and then killed them.
The gory details of this unfortunate incident came to limelight when the wailing women were found on the highway by an Army patrol passing from there.
The police rushed to the scene of the incident and recovered 22 bodies from the desert.
